003 We Could Have Had It All

Don't you just wish you had an inner Adele and is able to give birth to an album full of songs about someone who has royally pissed you off? Crushed your tiny heart even. It's not like I'm writing something here that has not been mentioned before, but the woman is ah-mazing.

Sung from the perspective of a scorned lover, Rolling in the deep is an epic anthem with a sweeping chorus. I remember when the song first came out. It was dirty-bluesy. It was unique. The vocal performance was outstanding. And the words? Well, let's just say it was good. It was love in an instant.

Almost 11 months after it's initial release, and after many life experiences, the song suddenly means so much more; It now hits closer to the heart.

And as much as I love the original, this version by Sydney-based electronic group Tales in Space is an undeniable take on Adele's masterstroke. With it's punchy drums, soaring vocal melodies and jarring groove-based guitars, it breathes new life to the song all the while maintaining the immense vocal and melodic intensity of the original.

Me loves.
